Vogue Runway's most-watched shows for Autumn/Winter 2022
Dior, Valentino, and Prada topped the list of the most-watched Vogue Runway shows, demonstrating the power of celebrity.
The ranking is a reprint of Vogue Runway.
According to a ranking of view counts by show released this week, Dior's Autumn/Winter 2022 runway was the most-viewed show by Vogue Runway audiences. The top five are Valentino, Chanel, Balenciaga, and Prada.
This fashion month, Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the ongoing war disrupted a relative return to pre-pandemic normalcy. Despite this, some stand-out fashion moments emerged during a turbulent season, particularly in Paris and Milan, where fashion weeks were held in the shadow of conflict.
The Dior show, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and presented during Paris Fashion Week, drew a celebrity crowd that included Rihanna and Jisoo from the K-pop group Blackpink. Valentino, the second most-watched show, exploded onto the runway and social media in an all-pink blaze.
Valentino's name appeared for the first time on Vogue Runway's list of the most-viewed shows. Bottega Veneta debuted at number six, with creative director Matthieu Blazy's debut collection attracting attention. Miu Miu, Fendi, and Versace also made their debuts. Chanel's homage to tweed was the third most-watched show, down from first place last year.
Balenciaga, the fourth most-watched show, addressed the war directly in show notes read aloud in Ukrainian by creative director Demna Gvasalia, a Georgian refugee himself.
